Aaron Allen is a self taught artist who was born in Phoenix in 1984. His artistic inspiration comes from life experiences and emotions. His childhood influences stemmed from comic books, cartoons and graffiti. As an adult, his major influences are Frida Kahlo, Basquiat, Franciosenielly among others.
His paintings and artwork mainly consist of female portrait work, often infused with abstractism, surrealism, shapes and a multitude of color. Mediums used include oils, acrylics, spray paint and mixed media. Although he prefers this style, he has produced abstract shows and also realistic animal portraiture. Aaron Allen got his start in Los Angeles, showing for the first time in a local lounge in North Hollywood. From there he has produced several shows at places including Goings Gallery, The Duce, the Monarch Theater, ASU Walter Cronkite as well as Exposed Gallery and Studio. Some of Aaron’s ulitmate goals would be to show at a major museum and participating in Art Basel.
